SVGA Cable as extension cables
SVGA cable is an acronym for super VGA cable. To know about SVGA cables better one should know what VGA cable is. VGA cable is used to connect computer systems or laptops to some other display device. It is a kind of extension cable. With the help of VGA cable one can view the data from a computer several feet away from it. These cables ensure a good quality of picture. When some data from computer is displayed on a projector it is likely that the image may get distorted as now it is displayed on a comparatively big screen but VGA cable does not let it happen.
SVGA cable is an improved version of VGA cables. It has been observed that the resolution which SVGA cable offers is comparatively higher than resolution offered by VGA cables. In general it offers resolution of the range 800 X 600. This feature makes it favorable than general SVGA cables.
SVGA cables are capable of supporting 16 million colors but one can not use all of them in one go. The number of colors that can be made available at a time depends on the memory available for videos in a system. Higher availability of memory means more colors at a time. Like other areas many inventions have been made in the area of SVGA cables. Experiments are being done in order to add more advanced features to SVGA cables. VESA is a known consortium which is responsible for the up gradation of SVGA cables.
