The Guitar Hero series is a game that lets you become a world-class guitarist in your own living room. Full of varied songs and bands, you get to practice the songs and become the master of the music world. Guitar Hero: Metallica offers you a chance to relive the dream of being a member of the band and have occasional jam sessions with others as well.

The game offers a list of 49 songs which you can play out of which 28 are original Metallica songs and the others are guest acts meant to improve your range and offer variety. The game offers the feature of Expert+ mode for the drummers wherein you have to use two bass pedals with the help of the splitter in order to keep up with the heavy drumming the band is known for. The songs are a blast to play and offer enough of a challenge for the seasoned players as well, since the guitar solos can be quite long. The list of songs is well thought out and offers a good mix of music to play. The game also features online suites where you can compete with players and have full-on battle of the bands.

The game is metal themed and the animated characters are instantaneously recognizable. You can create your own characters in the guest acts and even choose between the heavy metal songs and smoother solos if you like. It offers a great rock experience and is worth shelling out the full retail price.
